	Scarlet Tong, PhD (HKU), is trained as an interdisciplinary expert in the built environment. She explores the connection between language and place image through her research, drawing on social media and online presence. 


She received her M.S. in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia GSAPP and a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. These skills support her work as co-founder of XT Studio, delivering design-and-build solutions across all spatial scales. Exposure to media design and human-computer interaction helped Scarlet develop an interdisciplinary approach to studying spatial cognition.
